Tim Briggs, has been involved with Information Security for more than 12 years. He has worked in several high profile SOC roles, including with one of the world’s largest hosting providers and a large financial company. Over the last 4 ½ years he has worked at CrowdStrike building a world class Incident Response team. During the time at CrowdStrike, as well as other companies, Tim has built a team dedicated to Insider Threat activities. The team has taken on the challenge of understanding that employees move data for business purposes, but this same data movement can also present a risk to company, and an investigative team needs to review those risks and data movement and using the entire picture make an accurate analysis of the potential that a person’s activity rises to the case of an Insider Threat. Tim enjoys working outside, taking time to watch the wildlife that frequently runs across the backyard, and more importantly not being near a computer.
